Environmental Science and Engineering: Following the endowment of the Ronald and Maxine Linde Center for Global Environmental Science, the California Institute of Technology invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in Environmental Science and Engineering, with a focus on climate science. Terms of the initial appointment as assistant professor are four years and contingent upon completion of the Ph.D. Exceptionally qualified applicants may also be considered at the associate or full professor level.

Our focus is on candidates who have an outstanding research record and a strong commitment to teaching. We have the opportunity to make more than one appointment; areas of interest include (but are not limited to):

    • Physical Oceanography
    • Glaciology and Sea Ice Dynamics
    • Cloud Physics and Dynamics
    • Global-Scale Biogeochemistry
