Michael Ortiz Receives University of Glasgow Honorary Degree

Professor Michael Ortiz, Frank and Ora Lee Marble Professor of Aeronautics and Mechanical Engineering, Emeritus, has been awarded a 2025 University of Glasgow Honorary Degree in recognition of the major contributions he has made to Engineering. The University of Glasgow awards honorary degrees to recipients in recognition of their achievements in the fields of arts, politics, humanities and science. Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, Principal & Vice Chancellor, University of Glasgow, said: "Granting honorary degrees is a way for the University of Glasgow to recognize and celebrate the meaningful contribution individuals have made to society.
