Professor Andrade Recognized by the National Assembly of Ecuador

José E. Andrade, Associate Professor of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, will receive the Dr. Vicente Rocafuerte medal, for scientific and research accomplishments, from the National Assembly of the Republic of Ecuador. 

The National Assembly of the Republic of Ecuador Dr. Vincente Rocafeurte decoration is awarded to individuals of merit in the political, cultural, educational, business, economic, scientific, research, labor, social and sports arena. The decoration is given to outstanding citizens, public or private institutions, or foreign nationals who have excelled, and upon request of: an Assemblyman or cantonal representative and the International Parliamentarians, Ministers of Foreign State and ambassadors and representatives of international organizations accredited in Ecuador. The decoration consist of a gold-plated medal with the Shield of Ecuador, on a blue background and a small tricolor ribbon.
