Ruth Berkun Wins First Place in AAAS Competition

Ruth Berkun, has won first place in the category of Medicine and Public Health at the 2025 AAAS Student E-poster Competition for her poster titled "Quantitative Reflex Tests Using a Novel Acoustic-Based Sensing System." The AAAS Student E-poster competition recognizes the individual efforts of students actively working toward an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral-level degree. The winners' presentations displayed originality and understanding, setting them apart from their peers.
Ruth was a former SEC10 student of Jeffrey Gold, STEM Communication Specialist and Lecturer.
