Graduate students Xin Hu and Stephane Lintner have received the W. P. Carey Prize in Applied Mathematics, awarded by a faculty committee in Applied and Computational Mathematics for outstanding doctoral dissertations. Dr. Hu's theses is entitled "Multiscale Modeling and Computation of 3D Incompressible Turbulent Flows." and Dr. Lintner's theses is entitled "High-Order Integral Equation Methods for Diffraction Problems Involving Screens and Apertures."
